Tiki Tiki

Male Celebrities Putting TOO MUCH Out There

This latest installment of Tiki Tiki from the “En La Escena” show were at ‘La Mega’ radio station with JI Starr where both Starr and Escena’s host Leticia Reyes  air their opinions of the already, oh so tiring, Tiger Woods debacle.  I say we stop putting these athletes and celebrities on pedestals so that when they mess up we don’t get too disappointed and take it too personally.

I’m not saying they don’t influence our youth, society and buying trends but WE as people have to keep sight of the fact that at the end of the day we’re responsible for our own actions and as parents, we can teach, guide and set an example for our kids and just hope…Que siguan el ejemplo…that they follow our lead.

Tiger has become the butt of endless jokes and I see NO relief in sight for a good while, but this story also involves singer and performer David Bisbal who extended his advice to Tiger regarding this mess.  Bisbal is said to have said that in order to not cheat on your husband or wife, you need to watch porn. David says he even gets “the job” done before getting on stage.  JI had Leticia and Kelly almost on the run when he “thought” (out loud), that he’d do the same before going on air and offered a visual.  TMI son, TMI. HEHE

They called in Starr’s assistant  producer Kelly B. who provided us with some gossip regarding Aventura front man ROMEO, who after appearing on the popular talk show Cristina, was questioned regarding his sexuality.  Paraphrased, he is said to love his gay fans…why not, they spend plenty on his albums, but allegedly said he wasn’t a “PAJARO”… a bird.  In Latin circles, no matter what country, that phrase gets the point across and it’s usually not the most flattering reference to a gay man.

When pressed by the media about how this upsets or could upset the gay community, he stated that in the Dominican Republic this is not a bad term, though in that context it doesn’t sound as nice as just having said you love your gay fans and their support but are not gay yourself.

Weigh in people; in this day and age of political correctness…it could have been handled a bit better.  That’s just me.  catch you later….   www.izzye.com
